It has been reported that the rent-a-room platform ‘airbnb‘ is offering the landlocked alpine Central European principality of Liechtenstein for $70,000 a night. It would seem everything now has a price, even a principality! I
wonder if this will become a trend? It also begs the question: if Liechtenstein is seventy grand, just how much would Monaco cost to hire? After you have hired a country or principality, what exactly do you do with it? No one has actually done it yet, but it would make a great publicity stunt, Snoop Dog tried to book Liechtenstein for his music video but was politely declined.

So how about, if 900 travel bloggers and writers put in fifty English pounds and have a big party in a small country. There would be some great stories to tell and a totally unique experience to write about. Are you in???
What would you do with the country for the night? What other places or countries would you like to hire?

I’d be in but ONLY on the condition that Snoop plays live at the massive party we throw.
The country isn’t big enough for his entourage!
If we can rent Liechenstein for $70,000 per night perhaps we could do a deal for Greece instead. It’s sunnier, warmer and at least has some culture!
What a great idea Stu, if we hold out for a while Europe will be ours!
