Picture The World Project, Wales

I have chosen this picture to represent my homeland, WalesWales is full of undulating scenery, mountains, lakes and castles. However, I have chosen this picture as it represents one of the locals favourite things to do on a sunny weekend. The quaint tearooms at the side of the river in the ancient town of Llanrwst attracts locals popping by for a cream tea or an ice cream while taking in the surrounding countryside. As mentioned previously, Llanrwst is an ancient town and has been mentioned as far back as 954 AD. Nestled in the Conwy Valley at the edge of Snowdonia National Park, it makes me very homesick!

Thank you Tracey for submitting this great photo representing Wales.  I have actually been to this pub!
