I took this photo in July during my recent trip to Taiwan. When people think of Taiwan, they think industrialization, factories, the hustle and bustle of all big cities. I was surprised to discover a more peaceful, remote side to the country in a little town called Sun Moon Lake. After exploring several cities in the island, I fell in love with Sun Moon Lake, a picturesque village resting on the banks of Zintun Lake. I was immediately intrigued by the culture of the village – a certain calm and serenity that I have not found anywhere else in the world. Sun Moon Lake provides breathtaking views, turning the village into a perfect little paradise to escape to and meditate. It is also one of the rare places in Taiwan where you will get to bond with one of the famous Taiwanese Aborigine tribes, the Thaos.
Thanks Sharon for submitting this wonderful photo for Taiwan. I hope to make it there someday!
