Picture The World Project, South Carolina

South Carolina PTWP

I have chosen this picture to represent South Carolina. The large antebellum plantation home, Boone Hall, epitomises the southern gentility of the region. The picture shows the front of the house framed by a large oak tree. Situated in Mount PleasantSouth Carolina and owned by the McRae family, Boone Hall is one of the oldest working plantations in the US and featured in the classic movie ‘The Notebook’.

Thanks for sharing Tracey.  South Carolina is a state we haven’t visited. It’s on the list, in my notebook!
