Bright blue sky and deep blue sea, waves melting into the surf, sand squishing between your toes, water beckoning: in Mauritius, the beach is the star. But look inland and you will see that Mauritius is also green, really green. The fields of sugarcane swaying along the motorways, the whispering filao trees lining the beaches, the botanical gardens and the nature reserves teeming with trees and blooming with bright tropical flowers are a lush contrast to the expanse of the sea. From coast to coast and far inland, the landscapes and colours of Mauritius will take your breath away.
Thanks for sharing Kate. Mauritius is certainly more green than one would expect!
