I took this photo of one of the old-style street stalls that can still be seen in the Old Town, Tallinn, Estonia in 2010. Tallinn’s Old Town became a Unesco World Heritage site in 1997. Since Estonia regained its independence from Soviet rule in 1991, the city has developed culturally and economically and was named European Capital of Culture in 2011. This is one of the many stalls that can be found in the Old Town, which sells honey flavoured almonds and for me, represents the the old spirit of Tallinn.
