England Poppy, Picture The World Project

Photo by Helen Ogbourn of helenog.wordpress.com

There are so many things that typify England’s landscape, however poppies remind me of England at it’s best when rolling hills are carpeted with beautiful and delicate red flowers. Their importance as a symbol of hope has been an important part of England’s history and will continue to be a symbol of remembrance for future generations.

My nominations are Cristina in Macau and Holly in Michigan (I think!).

Thanks to Helen for sharing this wonderful picture for England.  Let’s hope the sun shines over England during the Olympics like in Helen’s photo! Looking forward to seeing pictures from Cristina and Holly.
