Picture The World Project, Denmark

Skagen-Denmark

Photo by Victoria Milner of themilnerguide.com

Denmark has a rich maritime history and this photo encapsulates the essence of this seafaring nation. The Port of Skagen is a bustling fishing port that sits at the very northern tip near Norway. Fishing is a major source of income for the town as well as for the country and the photo shows several fishing boats replenishing supplies before they head out to sea again. The red boat houses to the left have the typical look of many homes and buildings found throughout the country.

I nominate @sherrydayne and @Teres_di_Iorio to add photos from their travels in other countries.

Thanks so much for sharing Victoria.  I love Denmark, although I haven’t ventured as far north as Skagen!
